Ulrika Liffner

After 7 years of studying and working as a designer in London, Ulrika returned to her home town Jönköping in 2001. The same year she established a design studio; The snowroom AB, in which she collaborates with other companies and designers within the same field. In 2005 the company took another shape and the first home collection was introduced.

Ulrika had her very first product, the coffee table "Block", produced by Karl Andersson & Söner, and presented it at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2002. The prototype; originally called "Marry me", was designed for Memphis Design in Milan, and it was published in "The International Design Yearbook 2000".

She has often been working together with designer Thorulf Löfstedt, presenting various companies with new design ideas. In 2004 Ulrika and Thorulf produced a new design of a Christmas star in soft polyester fiber, which initially was marketed and sold by Design House Stockholm from November 2004. This project came to be the foundation of The snowroom lighting collection. From 2009 Ulrika is working primarily with Josefine Walhlström coodesigner and together they are responsible for the collection designed for both children and public spaces.

Apart from designing products and furniture, Ulrika also has the experience of working with interior design in both New York and Jönköping Sweden. Ulrika has also been working as an interior stylist for amongst others Husqvarna AB, Marbodal and Myresjöhus.
